Please review every section and confirm all puppy-specific dates, food, and purchase details with Samantha before signing.

1. Reservations and deposits

Deposits are nonrefundable, but always usable toward a future Apalachin Farms puppy. Deposits lock in puppy pick order. Confirm availability, the deposit amount, and reservation arrangements with Samantha before paying.

2. A lifelong home and responsible care

If you can no longer care for your dog, you agree to return the dog to Apalachin Farms. Dogs must not be chained outside. If this occurs, Apalachin Farms reserves the right to seek the dog’s return through lawful means.

3. Temperature safety for flat-faced dogs

French Bulldogs are very sensitive to weather and temperature extremes. Their flat-faced (brachycephalic) anatomy makes cooling down difficult. They must live indoors in a temperature-controlled home and must never be left outside in warm or hot weather, high humidity, or extreme cold.

Do not walk or exercise your French Bulldog in warm or hot temperatures. Save walks for cool conditions; keep necessary toilet breaks brief and supervised, with prompt access to a cool indoor space and fresh water. Never leave a dog in a parked vehicle. Heavy panting, breathing difficulty, weakness, or collapse requires immediate veterinary attention.

4. Understanding the breed

The buyer acknowledges that French Bulldogs may snore, snort, wheeze, honk, pass gas, and shed. The breed can be prone to allergies, respiratory conditions, skin and eye problems, luxating patellas, and sensitive stomachs and skin. Breathing difficulty should be assessed by a veterinarian.

Education and prevention are key. Like all dog breeds, French Bulldogs have breed-specific health risks, and some conditions may not appear until later in life. Please educate yourself about the breed’s needs and potential health concerns before welcoming a puppy home.

Every puppy is a living being. Thoughtful breeding, health screening, and preventive care can help reduce risks, but cannot prevent or predict every health issue. Lifestyle, environment, aging, and unforeseen conditions can affect a dog’s health over time. Commit to ongoing breed education, appropriate daily care, and regular veterinary guidance throughout your dog’s life.

5. Food and a gradual transition

Keep your puppy on the breeder’s current food for at least the first two weeks. If you choose to change food after that period, transition gradually over at least one week. Avoid sudden or drastic diet changes. If a veterinarian recommends an earlier change, follow their guidance and notify Samantha. Confirm the puppy’s current food with Samantha before homecoming.

6. Veterinary visits, vaccines, and records

Your puppy has received its first vaccinations. The buyer is responsible for follow-up vaccines and timely wellness care. Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three weeks of pickup, or sooner if the next vaccination is due. Confirm the next vaccine date with Samantha and retain copies of all veterinary visits, vaccination records, and test results. Timely care and supporting records are conditions of the breeder’s health guarantee.

7. One-year genetic health guarantee

If your puppy is diagnosed by one year of age with an incurable, life-threatening genetic illness, notify Samantha upon diagnosis. Provide written confirmation from two veterinarians at different practices, together with testing results from both. Confirm the puppy’s first birthday and guarantee end date with Samantha before signing.

The supplied guarantee requires euthanasia at the buyer’s expense for this replacement provision. Any euthanasia decision must be made with the treating veterinarian based on the dog’s welfare. Under this provision, Apalachin Farms will provide the first available puppy of the same breed and value from its stock as soon as possible. The breeder’s guarantee provides replacement rather than a refund, with no further breeder health guarantee on the replacement puppy.

8. Unexpected death during the first year

If the puppy dies unexpectedly within the one-year guarantee period, a necropsy must establish an incurable genetic illness as the cause of death. Provide the necropsy results and all related documentation to Samantha. For a qualifying claim, Apalachin Farms will provide the first available puppy of the same breed and value from its stock as soon as possible, rather than a refund, with no further breeder health guarantee.

9. Expenses, questions, and applicable rights

Under the breeder’s guarantee, the buyer is responsible for veterinary and other expenses, including travel costs and travel for a replacement puppy. The breeder does not reimburse these expenses under that guarantee. The breeder’s policy is no refunds, subject to rights and remedies required by applicable law. Contact Samantha at Samantha9982@gmail.com with concerns so they can be addressed directly.

Nothing in this agreement waives or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
